Mainly Baroque is the title of afternoons devoted to string repertoire dating from (but not always!) the Baroque Period in Music.

Viola Workshops

Sat 10 May
Viola Workshop - to include 'the viola in the string quartet/quintet'. Haydn Op 42 1st mov, Mozart G minor 5tet, 1st slow movement. Ensembles play Bach, Rameau, Handel, Scott Joplin.

Sunday 1 June
Ensemble coaching and viola lessons.

Sat 19 July
Viola Workshop - featuring Bach Chaconne arr. for 4 violas. Robin will give a talk on the Chaconne and play it in his concert. Ensembles to include Bizet’s L'Arlesienne Suite No 1.

Sunday 20 July
Ensemble coaching and viola lessons.

Robin Ireland - teacher of violin and viola
